Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Knoxville .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Instructor Robert, is well knowledgeable in the field of Photography beginner and advance, and being beginner class he was giving the nuts an bolt of the basic photography. He gave a few higher knowledge while sticking to the subject, he was great, the weather was a little misty but sometime you have to adjust, and that's what the Instructor did for that day, he adjusted.

Thoroughly enjoyed the class! Richard is a great photographer and instructor. Only two students could make it this time so we had a lot of time to get to know each other and Richard. I was inspired to go out the next morning in similar light to a different location and took some photos I'm very proud of.

Really enjoyed the class. Richard was excellent and spent individual time with each of us as needed. He clearly explained the concepts and got us taking better pictures almost immediately. We will definitely take another one of his classes in the near future.

I have had my camera over 20 years, and this was the first time I actually took it out of automatic mode. I enjoyed the knowledge shared, and I look forward to taking many more classes so that I can confidently take photos with artistic confidence. Mr. Toon was engaging and made the class fun and informative.

I had a great time! Richard was knowledgeable and friendly with a nice, laidback teaching style. I was a leery about starting at 8am, but it turned out to be a great time. Street photography opportunities presented by the Farmer?s Market set up were more interesting than the market itself.

Richard was great. He quickly honed in on what we knew and what we were interested in, and taught accordingly. Got good advice concerning equipment.

I had high expectations for this event and it was surpassed. Once our instructor established our basic knowledge level, we jumped right into hands on learning. I do best when experiencing information this way. He also gave us immediate critiques when asked. His diverse experience behind the camera allowed us to gain from that as he shared his journey. Thank you, Richard Yoon.

This photo was taken last month during my first time visit to New Orleans. On my 3rd day there I took a boat ride deep in to the swamps of the New Orleans. The wild life in there was spectacular!I saw so many types of wild animals. The Raccoons were the cutest. They were so curious, approaching the boat getting really close. This is what provided me this wonderful opportunity to take this photo.Cannon Rebel t7 ISO 800S 1/400F 875-300 mm lense

I attended a Nature Photography Meetup on Feb 10th by Samanthalee Greco. One of the photo challenges she gave us was to take a closeup of something we found interesting. As I wandered around, I came across this plant by the boardwalk that had interesting texture that looked like caramelized brown sugar bulbs with golden sunshine inside. My plant app on my iPhone identified it as a shrubby St. Johns wort. So, I swapped on my 100mm macro lens onto my Canon 5D Mark IV, got on my knees and took

I enjoyed a photowalk event with Laurie Gallant and the Sacramento Photography group visiting Horton's Iris Farm. I always bring my Infrared camera with me in hopes of getting some good IR shots. When I saw the old red truck, I HAD to shoot it in IR! This is one of my favorite shots from that day and will go into my portfolio for sure!

I was on holiday in Sydney and I went to Circular Quay to take some night time photos, when I saw that the opera house was lit up. I took a couple of photos ,then went to change my lens.By the time I had done this I saw the lights on the opera house had gone out. I then realised it was a rehearsal for Vivid a Sydney winter light show which takes place around the harbour.

During the visit to the Moonlit Sanctuary Park I entered the reptiles hut and spotted this baby croc floating with only the eyes emerging from the water. It seemed just like the adult ones I had seen in Queensland, so I tried to recreate the situation as in the wild.Happy about the result.Shot with Canon RP and Canon RF 85mm f:2.
